Upstate Art Weekend (UAW) is headquartered at upbringing in Kingston - cementing its place as a vibrant and permanent fixture in the Hudson Valley’s creative community.

This flexible space is where UAW’s work comes to life and has hosted exhibitions featuring alumnae of STONELEAF RETREAT (UAW’s founding organization), including Tamar Ettun, Nona Faustine, Qiana Mestrich, Cheryl Mukherji, Rebecca Reeve, and Keisha Scarville, alongside internationally renowned artist Zoë Buckman.

Upbringing will also host the inaugural group exhibition curated by UAW founder Helen Toomer, featuring work by participating artists and makers from Open Studios by UAW, on view May–June 2026.
